Gedling Gala 2012 - Saturday July 7 at Willow Park

Theme this year is Diamond Jubilee

The Gedling Gala has been running annually for 35 years, with the exception of the water logged summer of 2007.  This is an opportunity for the Gedling Village community to meet and for local groups and organisations to display their projects and raise some funds.  Entertainment is organised to reflect local talent and the event is financed by sponsorship and by charging a fee for entrance and for stalls.
There are activities aiming to interest youngsters, such as ‘The Beach’ which attracts lots of sandcastle makers. A ‘Performance Marquee’ provides a selection of musical entertainment.
The many 100s that come along support the performers and activities and ensure there are funds to organise the next year’s Gala.

The parade through the Village usually starts at Ranmoor Road at 1.15pm and arrives at Willow Park at 1.30pm, followed by a Blessing by a local Minister.
